Building A Culture of Trust (1 day)
Improving Interpersonal Productivity - Team
Building
An organization's effectiveness has many factors, but central
to each is the human components needed to create, organize, implement and monitor company
strategies. Every company has the unique capability to bring the knowledge, skills,
attitude, and personality strengths of each individual into a team focus to accomplish the
company's overall goals.
Purpose: To build productive and trusting
working relationships between team members.
Goals: Group effectiveness cannot be fully
addressed until some degree of personal and interpersonal effectiveness has been achieved.
These two elements represent the foundation for the effective operation of the work
group as a whole. The goals of the Building a
Culture of Trust Workshop are to:
- Create awareness of the impact we have on
other team members performance
- Develop supportive interaction between various
functional groups
- Identify and meet the team members
unspoken needs and concerns
- Increase awareness of what people listen for
Gathering individuals with expertise in various disciplines
does not mean the company's expectations are going to be fulfilled. This workshop
examines the norms of group behavior, profiles strengths and weaknesses, and suggest ways
to make group interaction effective. It is useful for division or departmental
participants, project teams, task forces, committees or problem solving discussions.
After attending this workshop, a participant will be able to:
- Describe group behavior and it's impact on the
organization's effectiveness
- Evaluate the team's dynamics and relate this
to what is required in coping with other internal team members
- Identify individual group's strengths and
weaknesses
- Describe a plan of action to build an
effective team
Each
participant must have attended either the Introductory Workshop or the Executive
Training session prior to attending the Building A
Culture Of Trust Workshop.
Due to the one-on-one interaction needed in this workshop, a maximum of 12
participants is recommended.
